| Took this on the way home earlier this evening. So pretty!! |
I have a bunch of ideas to write about but finals are at the top of my priority list at the moment. I just want it to be the 20th of June already. Can't wait for this to be over.
So I'm currently in the library at my uni. I should be working on my assignments right now but nope. I'm browsing through Sephora and wishing I could afford everything. Final exams are a little over a month away. A bit nervous for what's coming considering I'm struggling to cope with 2 of my economics units. Plus, at this point in my life, there is so much at stake. I wish I could talk about it but I don't wanna get my hopes up.
I doubt I'd stick to Economics as my second major. I don't think it's for me. I might just go back to majoring in Marketing alone and have tons of options to choose from as electives.
I must say, I'm pretty stoked for my elective units. I have a bunch of things in mind that I would love to do! Psychology is definitely one of them!! So excited for this unit!!
I've been listening to a lot of Shawn Mendes lately and dude, he is so unbelievably talented!! He deserves more recognition in the industry. I absolutely love Imagination, Strings, This Is What It Takes, Act Like You Love Me, Aftertaste and A Little Too Much. Such good songs!
Yuna's new song with Usher is so nice! When has Yuna ever made a bad song right? Her music always sounds so ethereal. And Tori Kelly's Funny and Art of Letting You Go are really good too!
If you know me, you'd know that I don't really listen to music from the local scene BUT Akim and the Majistret has a lot of good songs. I love Potret and Mewangi!! So nice!! Elizabeth Tan and Faizal Tahir's Setia is really lovely too.
Those are just some of my favourites. I have that and more on a playlist on my Spotify:

Remember last year when I did a post on how much I wanted to get a job so that I could finally buy things with my own money and not be a pain in the ass to my parents? Yup, I got a job as a server/barista at a place called Gula Cakery. I sucked at making coffee at first. Trust me, I'm sure my co-workers would agree on that. It took me ages to master the 'art' of steaming milk... And latte art of course. That was tough. But a good experience nonetheless. Made friends with the funniest, most entertaining people there! Also, Gula makes some of the best cakes and pastries I've ever had! Their Choux pastry and Mango Cheese Tart are some of my favourites! I also love their Nasi Kerabu (THE BEST), Chicken Pesto Sandwich and the Seafood Aglio Olio! So so good!! You can look them up on Instagram. I'm not just saying this because I'm biased because I worked there but their cakes are aesthetically pleasing and so yummy!
So glad I got the chance to do something productive during my break. And being able to buy things with my own money is the best thing ever!!! I finally got my hands on the Zoeva Cocoa Blend palette that I've been eyeing for so long. So in love with the palette. It's stunning!
2 things:
1. I attempted to dye my hair today. Bought a super dark brown colour that looks almost black. Bet y'all don't even see the point of me buying an almost black hair dye right?? I was scared ok. Afraid I wouldn't like it if I buy a brighter colour... So I dyed it that dark brown colour and guess what? It didn't show up that much pun on my hair hahahaha. Fail gila!!! I shall try again with a different colour in a few weeks.
2. The new semester commenced today and I had an 8am class earlier. I am so tired omg. It's only the first day. How to get through the rest of the sem? :(

So I haven't updated in awhile because
- I got a job
- Because of that, I barely have the time to write new posts. Plus, I can't think of anything to write right now.
I've always been interested in the whole healthy lifestyle thing. There was a time when I would workout 5 days a week at 10am during my break. Yes, 10am. I like to stick to a schedule. Breakfast by 8, workout by 10. Everyday. I always like having breakfast first before working out. Can't function without breakfast. Anyway, when school rolls around, I'd workout less or just stop working out. I'd always I just don't have the time but really, I was just lazy. I used to go out for jogs a lot. I used to lift (not-so-heavy) weights alot. I really enjoyed working out. I especially love doing squats and deadlifts!
Personally, I think working out is the easier bit. When I was 16, I used to eat the lauk my mom cooks but never with the rice. Just the lauk alone. Sometimes I would even eat cereal for dinner to avoid eating carbs. Yes, I am aware, cereal is full of sugar but I was naive at the time ok. Eating right is tough, especially when you have so many temptations out there! My biggest weakness is definitely chocolate. I am the biggest chocolate lover ever. My fav kind is definitely dark chocolate. Don't know what about it that's so yummy to me. Everyone I know doesn't like it because it's a tad bitter but it's so good! Another thing about why I think eating healthy is tough is because I can barely afford food that's actually good for you. Quinoa, chia seeds and almond milk are so expensive. I've always wanted to try quinoa and make chia pudding! I think the only change I've made and am still sticking to it is I've stopped consuming white bread. Not permanently though, I'd still have a bun every now and then, especially when I stop by a bakery. After consuming alternatives to white bread, I find myself not liking it anymore. Whenever I take a bite of it, I just feel grossed out in a way. And that is the story of how I got rid of my love for white bread hahaha
I think I rely on fruits and veggies the most for nutrients. If you know me, you'd know that I eat a crap ton of fruits and veggies. I love them! I could do with a lifetime supply of mangoes, cherries, grapes and avocados! Avocados are expensive here - about RM6 for one avocado. Anytime when there's a promotion, I'd stock up and make guac with it! I LOVE GUAC GUYS. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!
Ok I have no idea why I decided to blog about this or where this post is even going. I just felt like writing something today. It's currently December 28th but by the time you see this, it'll probably be 2016. So happy new year!!
Anyway, since I started college and uni, I've been slacking so much at keeping my health in check. I kinda wish I didn't stop doing what I did because now, I have to start over again. You know when you do a workout after a long, long time and you just feel like hell after? I don't quite know how to put it into words but.. when your body gets used to such activities, after awhile you learn to endure it. Like when you can last 3-5 minutes when doing a plank because you're getting better at it. But when you start exercising again and try to do a plank but can only last for 30 seconds because your muscles just forgot how to function... Ya that's the best way I can explain it. THAT SUCKS. I really need to get my butt moving again.
Best of luck, self!
