1. My Family

I am blessed with the most supportive, most loving family. My parents support me in everything I do. Without them, I wouldn't be who I am today. I'm super grateful to have a very open-minded, supportive and wise man for a father and a superwoman for a mom. I also am related to this stubborn, weird human whom I call my brother HAHA. Ok but seriously, my brother is a little pain in the butt at times; we fight. A lot. But at the end of the day, we always make up. I am forever thankful for my family.

2. MY CATS

photo from 2008?

Throughout the 19 years that I've lived, I've had 9 cats. The first cat I ever had was the one above. His name was Kirby and he's a pure Persian and the most manja little thing ever. I cried so much when he died last year. I still have 2 of 9 cats with me and I can't tell you enough how much joy they bring me. I love coming home to my little ones after a long day. It's such a great way to de-stress... though I do wish my orange cat behaved a little better. He pees everywhere! So annoying!! Fun fact: as much as I love my cats, I don't like having them in my room when I'm not around. They don't behave!  I love them regardless!! I can't imagine my life without cats! I wanna own a Scottish fold, British shorthair or a Ragdoll one day! They're the cutest!

3. MY FRIENDS (I went through all my photos and realised that I don't have any recent decent ones of my friends and I hahaha)

I will always be forever thankful for the friends I made in school regardless if we still talk or not. I will always be grateful for having people like Dina around. We've known each other since we're like 5?! We don't talk every second of the day but I always get excited when she's around. I still laugh every now and then when I think back of the time I finally saw her again after 4 years apart. She couldn't even recognize me!! I was 9 and transferred to the primary school in my area and we were coincidentally in the same class. I didn't even say hi to her first because... #shygirlprobz. But ya, she came up to me and was like "HI. I'm Dina. What's your name?" I pun macam "You don't remember me?!!! *insert sad face*" And she figured out who I was and we laughed HAHAH

Years later, I met Farah, Nina, Jill and Mian. Farah is literally the best, most psychotic person I've ever met. Love how she's sometimes so brave and outgoing. She makes people laugh so easily!! If you're not friends with her, you're missing out!!

It's so weird to think that that my first day of secondary school was 6 years ago. 6 years ago, I became friends with Nina, Jill and Mian. Now we're 19!!! And doing our thing at uni!!! Nina is doing pharmacy... I think. Definitely something along those lines lah. Jill is doing performing arts and Mian, graphic design! I feel like I haven't seen them in forever :(

4. Food

Need I say more? I like anything spicy. I like sambal belacan, budu, sambal tempoyak... oh god. Just talking about it makes my mouth water. I love Nasi Lemak but I'm very particular about it. The best Nasi Lemak I've ever had is hands down Dina's mom's Nasi Lemak. THE BEST!! Her sambal is made to perfection. She does go overboard with the spiciness but sedap weh!! Second best is my mom's Nasi Lemak hehe. Don't get me wrong; I love my mom's cooking but Aunty Lela's sambal is just so good!!

My mom makes the best Aglio Olio, bread pudding, fish head curry, lemon and herb chicken and everything really. Even something as simple as ayam masak kicap tastes so good. I like salmon too!! If you take me to a sushi joint, I'd always order a salmon sashimi. That and a Chuka Idako!

I ALSO LOVE DURIAN. A LOT.

5. Traveling

KLIA 2009

I have such an affinity for traveling. I love being in airplanes. Trust me when I say I love airplanes. I've always been that kid that goes "MUMMY LOOK!!! AIRPLANE!!!" or "Omg aeroplane!!" No matter how old I am, I'd always do that when I see planes. I love flying so much.

I love being in a foreign place. I like learning about a totally different culture. I love trying new food. I love shopping for things I can't get back home. My favourite trip was when my family and I went to New Zealand in 2009. The best vacation ever! I'd recommend New Zealand to adrenaline junkies. The only thing I didn't do there was bungy jumping because I didn't have the guts to do so. Maybe I should do a throwback post on this trip and include pictures!! Omg ok I'll get on to that as soon as I post this!

Some places I would love to go to are Maldives, Hawaii, Krabi, NEW YORK, Sydney, Korea, Japan, Ireland and Sweden.

Also, 2 things I'd like to say:
1. I love how minimal and clean my new blog layout looks!
2. I'm so stoked for next weekend and the new year! I won't say where I'm going to hehe. SO EXCITED!!!! Can't wait to share the pictures!

HI!!! LONG TIME NO SEE!! Thought I'd do a post on disappointing products today since I've never done it before!

 1. Essence XXXL Longlasting Lipgloss Matt effect in Soft Nude

So the only reason I got this was because I heard it's a close dupe to MAC's Velvet Teddy. Velvet Teddy wasn't even out in Malaysia at the time but I wanted to try it so bad because everyone talks about it. The colour of this Essence one is average, I guess. The formula and the scent, hate it. It's not as long lasting as you'd expect. I wouldn't recommend this. I'm pretty sure a better alternative to this would be NYX's Soft Matte Lip Creams! They're amazing but every time I want to get some, it's always out of stock at Sephora! :(

2. Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in 210 Unapologetic

I actually got this thing by accident. I wanted another shade; I think it was called Audacious? I know I've always said I love anything bold and matte but not this one. The colour was... meh. But it's not the colour I don't like! It's the formula! It's horrible!! No idea if I got a dud or if it's just the formula of this shade itself that sucks. Dina has the shade Sultry and my Mom has the red one (forgot what it's called) and the formula is lovely. The one I have is so patchy!

Pls tell me you can see how patchy it swatches!! Hate it!

I didn't wanna toss this because it'll just make me feel like I'm throwing away money. So the only way I managed to salvage this was by applying it in the middle of my lips and then dabbing it everywhere. Probably hard to understand but I learned it from Lissa Nazeri's video.

3. Maybelline The Falsies Big Eyes mascara

I am sooo glad I didn't pay the full price for this. I think Watsons had a promo where if you buy anything in the store, you'd get the mascara for only RM10. I don't really get the hype because this didn't really do much for me. I liked the lower lash side of the mascara though I use that for my upper lashes. Didn't really do much for my bottom lashes.

4. Maybelline Pink Alert by Color Sensational Lipstick in POW 4

DUDE omg this lipstick is HORRIBLE. Again, I didn't pay for this (thank god). I got it as a freebie from Luxola. I loveeee matte lipsticks so I thought I'd like this but nope. The formula is so tacky. You know when you have lipstick on and you rub/smack your lips together, it feels tacky but still bearable? Yeah, I couldn't stand how tacky it was. I did read some reviews on this and it had positive feedbacks so I don't know why I dislike this?¿? Also, Maybelline Malaysia, if you're reading this, could you pleaseee bring in the matte lipstick line?! There are so many colours I want from that line. Divine Wine and Touch of Spice are stunning!

5. Essence Match2Cover cream concealer

I got this on a whim. I walked into Watsons and grabbed the first concealer I saw because I felt like spending my money on a concealer that day. I think they have this in 2 shades; I got the darker one but it's still way too light on me. It made me look ashy. But then again, it didn't complement my skin tone in the first place. So that's not exactly a solid reason why I don't like this. I think it's because I'm not too keen on cream concealers. I like liquid ones. Liquid ones don't feel as heavy on the skin. I guess that's why I don't really like this one.

6. The Body Shop Tea Tree Cleansing Wipes vs. Purederm Argan Oil Makeup Remover wipes

I was contemplating on whether or not to include this because I don't actually know how I feel about it. Been using Simple makeup wipes for the longest time. So I thought I'd switch up and try the Body Shop one from the Tea Tree Oil range. At first, I didn't really like it because of the weird tingling sensation it leaves behind. It did remove almost all of my makeup though so they do get the job done.

The reason why I don't know if I should include these Body Shop ones is because when I ran out of them, I got this Purederm one only because it was under RM10! Tried it and if I had to choose between the this and the Body Shop one, I'd go for the latter. I felt like I have to rub my face so hard to get all the makeup off. Not a fan. Still gonna use it though. Tak nak buang. Bazir duit nanti!! Once I go through these wipes, I'm going back to my trusty Simple ones. They're the best!

My first semester just ended and I'm so happy!! This is my favourite time of the year. Cosmetic companies are coming out with holiday collections. The ones at Sephora are amazing!! The Tarte blush palette is sooo pretty! The packaging is so glittery, I freakin love it. I only got a lip trio set from Stila though because... I got my hands on BECCA's Highlight in Champagne Pop!!!!!! YA THE ONE THAT JACLYN HILL CREATED. Dude, I've already planned to get the blush palette and this lip set thing from Too Faced but when Jaclyn herself mentioned on Snapchat that Champagne Pop will be on Luxola, I lost my shit. I love Jaclyn Hill so of course I freaked out like crazy. The next day, I saw it on Luxola and immediately bought it with no hesitation HAHA. It's so expensive I wanted to cry but I literally was like "Ah screw this. It's limited edition. This is Jaclyn Hill. I need it. I want it. Buying it"

Next posts will be of my current beauty and non-beauty favourites! See ya!

Hello!! I went to Sepang last weekend to watch MotoGP! If only you knew how excited I was to be able to go this year! I had to miss out last year because of my dad's busy schedule! This year, I begged/gave hints to my dad that I really, really wanna go. I was so anxious that we couldn't get tickets because they were selling really fast.

On Friday, I found out it was sold out and I may or may not have thrown a fit hahaha. But we took a long shot and made our way to Sepang anyways the next day. My dad said ticketing agents might still be selling tickets but I didn't get my hopes up. Arrived at SIC on Saturday at 8am and queued up at the ticketing booth even before it was opened. Guess what? We managed to get tickets!! Some staff person came up to my mom and sold it to us even before the ticketing booth opened. So to that guy, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Anyway, I vlogged the Race day. I don't have much footage of the races itself. There's a lot of walking...and also a little smudge on the camera lens which I failed to notice until I started editing the video.

I am in the midst of preparing for my final exams and it's agonizing. Can't wait for the next 2 weeks to be over!!

I've got something exciting to share with you today! So the other day, I came across a new shopping app called Spring. If you're from the US and you love shopping, this is the perfect app for you!

Spring helps you be ahead of the trends by giving you access to hundreds of shops right from your phone! They carry over 800 brands namely Rag & Bone, American Apparel, Marc Jacobs and many more. The best thing about Spring? They offer free shipping on everything! How cool is that?

At the moment, Spring only delivers to the US and its territories but they do have plans to expand their business!

So what are you waiting for? Download Spring from your AppStore or Play Store now! For more info, click here to visit their website or you can follow them on their social media pages:

I have about a month or so left 'til I'm done with my first semester at uni. I have never been more excited for a semester to be over! The last 2 months have been rather difficult because a) a friend of mine went off to another country for 2 years! Him leaving made me think back about the times I desperately wanted to study abroad and made me realise that I should appreciate everyone and cherish every little moment here instead of longing for a new life overseas. b) Group projects suck. I've concluded that I will never ever like the idea of group projects. That one group task that I was apart of was horrible! We did everything last minute, which is something I would never recommend. Pleaaaase manage your time wisely guys! I've learnt my lesson; I say this time and time again but I'd probably still procrastinate. But in all seriousness, especially when it comes to group projects, I don't think I'll ever procrastinate ever again.

So at my uni, subjects are called units. I'm currently doing 4 core units (Management, Accounting, Business Statistics and Microeconomics) and 1 General Studies unit (Ethnic Relations). It actually feels like I'm doing my Foundation again because whatever I'm learning in these 4 units I've studied back when I did my Foundation. I still hate Accounting though. I guess it's safe to say that I won't be majoring in Accounting. I'm still sticking with Marketing as one of my majors. Also, did I mention that I may have lost all my abilities to write a proper sentence in Malay?! So my Ethnic Relations unit is in Malay and at one point while I was doing the project, I thought the word expirasi is experience in Malay... until I Googled it. Apparently expirasi means exhale? Yeah, that happened.

One thing I was looking forward to is joining a bunch of clubs and societies. My uni has a rock climbing club!! I've been wanting to do that for the longest time, especially after the experience I had at Broga the other day! I haven't signed up for any clubs yet though. Maybe next semester? Knowing me, I'd probably join more sports-y clubs instead of academic/non-sports kinda thing.

I hope to finally earn my own money during the break. I know I've said it last time but never actually got a job. Things just didn't go as planned. I really do hope for things to be different this time. God knows how much I want to work. The older I get, the more uncomfortable I get asking for money from my parents ya know?

I have a bunch of things I want to do posts on once finals are over. Some of them being my makeup routine (thinking of doing a video on this instead of a regular blog post), go-to products and disappointing products! Might even share some recipes ;)
If you have anything you want me to write about, let me know!

Apparently, the last time I did a wishlist was April last year! Obviously, this calls for a new one! I have a bunch of things that I've been lusting over lately!

1. Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette. Saw this when Zoeva posted it on Instagram and I immediately fell in love! The colours are right up my alley.

2. MAC Whirl lipstick. Kylie Jenner. Need I say more? But no really, love her or hate her, you can't deny that her makeup game is on another level! I've heard she uses this colour. True or not, this colour is gorgeous nonetheless. A need in my collection!

3. Zoeva 109 Face Paint Vegan brush. I don't have a justification for this... I just want this really bad HAHA

4. TheBalm Mary-Loumanizer. So you know how Jaclyn Hill is all about that glow? And I love Jaclyn Hill. Obviously I need a killer highlight right? I don't think I can get my hands on her highlight in collaboration with Becca. So this Mary Lou-Manizer is the next best thing!

5. Zoeva 105 Luxe Highlight brush. Nope. Nothing to justify this urge to get this brush hehe. IT'S SO PRETTY.

6. Topshop Jamie Jeans. I've always wondered what the hype was all about with Topshop jeans. I don't see why people would pay over RM200 for a pair... until I tried them on! I may be exaggerating but dude, I've never been more in love with a pair of jeans before. The denim is so soft and they come in petite sizes, which is always a plus in my book!! I have the Joni jeans but they're tight as heck and aren't as comfortable and soft as the Jamie's! Need these jeans in every colour!

So NYFW was held recently and can we just talk about how many amazing shows there were?! I was so blown away by Monique Lhuillier, Marchesa and so many others! I thought I'd make a post sharing some of my favourite pieces from various designers because they're too stunning to not be talked about!
