No idea if this is the 7th of the whole photo diary thing but hi! I went to KLCC with my friends today! I don't have a bunch of good photos though... I have a few good ones taken at the park but not a lot of decent ones taken indoors. I honestly have no idea how to work a camera HAHA. All I do is use the "Auto" setting. Oh well, I'll learn eventually.

Merry Christmas to those celebrating! Hi! There's exactly a week 'til 2015. I know right? Where did the year go? I loveeee this time of the year. Seeing all the Christmas decorations, the music and New York City. I feel like I say this every year but I would kill to be in NYC during Christmas. My love for the city is always at its peak during this festive season. I would always watch NYC vlogs on YouTube and just be envious of the people who are "soaking" in the beauty of the city. AND for some reason, I'd always play Michael Bublè's Christmas album every time December rolls around.

- I don't really have an all-time favourite but I do like Arctic Monkeys a lot. The Neighbourhood's kinda a great band too! James Bay, James Arthur and I LOVE Beyonce because duuh. I have to see her perform live before I die!

- This is very cliche but I miss being a kid. I miss those times when good grades and having/making money were the least of my worries. Growing up really does suck. Oh and Melbourne hahah

- Hands down Maroon 5's She Will Be Loved. All-time favourite! I love Arctic Monkeys' 505, Arabella, Do I Wanna Know and R U Mine too! I've been loving The Neighbourhood's West Coast as well. So good! Alina Baraz and Galimatias' Drift is another favourite. I can go on and on!

- It's just my name though Yaya isn't my actual name. I don't exactly know how or why my parents started calling me Yaya but I'm pretty certain that it has got something to do with seafood... And Farisha is just a part of my name. My Accounting lecturer calls me Farisha and I find it SO awkward. I always discreetly give her the "Why-Are-You-Calling-Me-That" look. I'm not used to people calling me Farisha. No one has ever called me that.

- Guitar. Barely. I took lessons for like 2-3 years. I stopped because I "wanted to focus on SPM" but really, I got sick of it. I do still play it when I want to learn a new song.

I've been wanting to get new makeup for so long. I'm in dire need of a new concealer but it's so hard to find a good one from the drugstores. Drugstores in our country have the most limited variety compared to overseas. I remember being in awe over the how many products there were in Target back in Melbourne. I should've bought the concealers when I had the chance! I did came across a shop online (@maqupxoxo on Instagram!) selling the well-known LA Girl Pro concealer. It's only RM24! Need!

Speaking of Melbourne, this time last year was so fun! I miss that city so bad! I still haven't gotten over how amazing that city is. The vibe, the people and Lush!! I love shopping at Lush! I swear, I never left that shop empty-handed. The shop smells so good! And their products are so nice. I still have their Santa's Lip Scrub which tastes like Cola! So good!

I'm officially done with the second semester of my Foundation year! My last paper was yesterday and it was better than I anticipated. But like I said previously, I don't think I'll get results as "outstanding" as last semester's. My Computing paper was the toughest thing ever. Okay, maybe not. I just have no interest in the whole computer/IT world. And when I have no interest in a subject, I have zero motivation to do well for it. I swear, if I ever have to learn more IT-related stuff when studying for my degree, you will never see a happy me ever again.

On the topic of my degree, I've been sold on going to Australia to further my studies ever since I started my program. These past few months, all my parents & I ever talked about was Australia this, Sydney that, Melbourne this and that. And just a couple of weeks back, my mom, out of nowhere, talks to me about the uni in UK. I mean, of course I'd LOVE to go to the UK considering what industry I want to venture in but it's so overwhelming. I only wanted to go to Australia because of Melbourne but the uni I want to go to isn't one of my current college's partners. So it'll be more difficult to get in. Whereas the one uni in UK is one of the partnered schools AND it offers the exact program I want AND it's in Europe. Hello! Who wouldn't want to go to a school in Europe?! I am torn and undecided. Help.


Oh, I went to the Big Bad Wolf sale last night... at midnight and it was so overwhelming. I've never seen so many books in one room before. There were 3 series I really wanted to get - Divergent trilogy, Maze Runner as well as the Devil Wears Prada books - and a couple of fashion/beauty ones. I wanted the Devil Wears Prada books for years but I don't like the idea of spending almost 40 bucks for a book. I couldn't find any of those 3 and settled with 2 random books I saw and a fashion & makeup book! I was and still am very bummed out over not finding any Maze Runner books even though they mentioned they sold it on their page but it's okay. Better luck next time.

Speaking of makeup, NARS Audacious lipsticks... oh my god. I need them in my life. Thinking of treating myself to one if my GPA for this semester is worth spending 95 bucks for a tube of lipstick...

I have two huge planets on my face. And by planets I mean zits. They're so painful. I want to get rid of them but it'll make things worst!! My first paper was earlier today and let me tell you, that was the most twisted paper I've ever sat for in my life. The numerous brain farts I had, it's crazy. Horrible start to the first day of finals. There goes my A+... I'm not looking forward to the rest of the papers. I'm nowhere near motivated to push myself. This semester is difficult and I just want everything to be over. I can't wait for the last semester of my program. Way too excited to study English!

Hi! I just thought I'd take a break from studying and write a little something since I've not updated in a while. This week has been sooo hectic. I'm so sleep deprived and in desperate need of a better diet. My body is just so out of shape and I don't like it. I've been eating nothing but processed junk. The second I get home from class, I'd head to my kitchen and grab some cookies or cake to snack on. Every-damn-day! I know it's no good for me but it's much more convenient to just grab whatever available rather than actually cooking something. As for getting active? Yeah, I don't run as much as I used to because... Lazy. I do put in a little effort though. The countless flights of stairs I face everyday in college. Yup, that is a workout. I even park my car a distance away from college because I need any form of exercise I can possibly get.

Speaking of, I cannot believe next week is the last week of the second semester. One more semester and I'm done with my Foundation year! It always blows my mind how fast time flies. As for my finals, I don't think I'll do as good as I did last semester. I'm not expecting much but I don't wanna disappoint myself either. I will give it my all though I AM GOING TO SUCK SO BAD. BUT IT'S OKAY. Cheesecake and chocolates exist for a reason and that reason is to make me feel better after a horrible paper. Yup. Don't tell me otherwise! ;)

On a different note, lately I've realised how much I want to be in an environment involving photo shoots in the fashion industry. I've always been so fond of it. I'm always interested in seeing how stylists and makeup artists work with their models. I've always dreamt of seeing what goes on behind a high fashion photo shoot. I wish I could experience it someday. In New York maybe? Okay, I honestly don't know what exactly I want to be but I do have an industry (three actually) I hope to venture in one day. Fashion, makeup and aviation. Truth be told, fashion isn't my first choice. Way back when I was a little kid, I really, REALLY wanted to be a pilot. I was and still am absolutely in love with flying. Airplanes and airports excite me so much, you have no idea. But if you know me, you'd know that I'm not the tallest person on earth. The older I got, the more I realise my height could be a limiting factor. So there goes my dreams of becoming a pilot... I know there are other jobs out there in the aviation industry, but I was just so in love with the idea of being the captain of an aeroplane. I didn't want to settle for anything else.

Then, YouTube came along. I was exposed to the fashion & beauty community on YouTube when I was about 13, I think. I'm pretty sure the first video I watched that started this whole obsession was Blair Fowler's Taylor Swift's hair tutorial... And the love I have for fashion and makeup just grew from there. Ah, the power of social media. I definitely do not think I dress oh-so-glamorously. I don't even wear any colour! I'm always wearing a plain (black) tee and jeans to class... Only because I'm lazy and your girl here has other priorities aka food and college supplies.
Ever since watching Blair's video, I started discovering more YouTube channels. Right now, I'm currently subscribed to 641 channels... Yup. 641. Pretty sure 80% of them are fashion and beauty channels. The rest are of cooking, traveling and music. I don't even watch TV anymore. My source of entertainment is YouTube. Vlogs, fashion shows, makeup tutorials, guitar covers. I'm on that website 24/7.

I feel like this post is going in all directions. I just have a lot to say but I don't know how to come up with a good flow  – for lack of a better word. I like writing somewhat personal posts like this. It gives people a little insight on what I like and dislike. I should do this more often.

I just noticed how we don't have a lot of pictures of us jumping. I wished we took some at the dodgeball arena. I have to say, the Big Bag and the High Performance were my most favourite even though we could only spend 5 minutes at a time, at those two. Not a big fan of Slam Dunk... because every time I try, the ball never goes in! Too short maybe? HAHAH

The people who work there have the best job ever! What a great experience! Also, I learnt this the hard way: don't wear pants like mine if you're ever planning to come here. Trust me. Opt for shorts or something that clings to your body. Or you'll drown in the foam pit. My pants almost came off!!

I can't believe how fast today went. I miss it already. We made plans for tomorrow as well but luck isn't on our side this time around. Not gonna lie, I'm pretty bummed out because I've been looking forward to this for weeks now but there's always next time. So glad we got a chance to hit up Jump Street. Definitely a must-go!
